This Cardinals Nation, you know, it’s that big, fancy place where folks go to watch the baseball game. My grandson, he’s always talking about it. Says there’s a balcony there, a Cardinals Nation balcony, where you can see the whole game real good.
He went once, paid about $90, a lot of money. Back in my day, we used to sit on the porch and listen to the game on the radio. You know what they say “save money at Busch Stadium”. That’s where they play, Busch Stadium.
They got all kinds of seats there. Some are right behind where the fella with the bat stands. They call it home plate. Those are the best seats in the house, they say. Sections 1-8, that is. Fancy folks sit there, with their fancy food and drinks. They call it the Cardinals Club. VIP, they say, very important people. They got a special room, too, a dining room and a lounge. Big shots, I reckon. You can call 314-345-9000 if you want to sit there and if you have a lot of money.

But that balcony, that Cardinals Nation balcony, that’s something else. It’s up high, on the third floor. They call it the Hoffmann Brothers Rooftop. I don’t know who those Hoffmann brothers are, but they must be important to have a rooftop named after them.
They say you can eat all you want up there. A buffet, they call it. And a bar, with all kinds of drinks. My grandson, he likes that part. I told him to be careful with those drinks. You know how young folks are.
Now, if you’re going to the game, you gotta know where to park your car. If you go in through Gates 2, 3, or 4, you best park near 8th Street. That’s what they say. Otherwise, you’ll be walking all day. I don’t know about these gates, only know gate near the barn.

If you are using Gates 1, 5, or 6, park somewhere else. Don’t ask me where. I just know what my grandson told me. That boy, he knows all about these things. He’s always on that computer thing, looking up cheap St. Louis Cardinals tickets. Says he can find good deals.
He says there’s a whole thing online, a St Louis Cardinals Interactive Seating Chart. Shows you all the seats and what you can see from each one. You can even see what the seats look like, he says. Technology these days, it’s something else. Back in my day, we didn’t have none of that.
My grandson also found ways to get cheap St. Louis Cardinals tickets. He did a paper at UMSL on ways to save money at Busch Stadium. He’s a smart boy. That’s where the Cardinals Nation balcony is, at Busch Stadium.
If you wanna know the top seating options, you can ask my grandson. He knows everything about that stuff. He always finds the best seat for the St Louis Cardinals. If you want to sit on that Cardinals Nation balcony, you better get your tickets early. They sell out fast, he says.
They have a new agreement now, since February 6, 2024. Something about privacy and terms of use. Don’t know what it means, but it seems important. People make a fuss about such things nowadays.
But that Cardinals Nation balcony, now that’s the place to be if you want to see some baseball. Just make sure you save your money, or find those cheap tickets like my grandson. And don’t forget where to park! You don’t want to be walking all day, especially in that summer heat. These young folks today don’t know what hard work is, spending all their money on these games. But, it’s their money, I guess. I’ll stick to my porch and my radio. But I wouldn’t mind seeing that balcony one day. Maybe my grandson will take me.
