How to Pick Up Leaves Faster: Get the Job Done Quick

The Old Way (aka The Slow Way)

First, I tried the old-fashioned way – raking. I grabbed my trusty rake and started piling up the leaves. It was… okay. But it was also slow, back-breaking work. Plus, I’m pretty sure I saw a squirrel laughing at me from a tree.

Trying Something New

I thought, “There’s gotta be a better way!”

  • Leaf Blower:That was easy,it blowed leaves so *, wait a minute…My yard isn’t that big, and I really don’t want to spend that much extra .
  • Rake and Tarp Method: I remembered seeing someone online using a tarp. The idea is you rake the leaves onto a large tarp and then drag the whole thing to wherever you’re dumping them.I grabbed a tarp from the garage.

The Tarp Trick

This is where things got interesting. I spread out the tarp on the ground, then raked a big pile of leaves onto it. Once I had a decent amount, I grabbed the corners of the tarp and dragged it to my compost bin. It was WAY easier than bagging them!.

My Super-Secret Weapon (Not Really)

Here’s a little trick I figured out: use a smaller rake to gather the leaves.A smaller rake to pull more and more leaves. It’s easier to maneuver and gets into those tight spots around bushes and trees.

So, I raked, dragged, and dumped. And repeated. And repeated. It still took some time, but it was definitely faster and less tiring than my old method. My back thanked me, and the squirrels stopped laughing (I think).

My back is getting easier and the yard looks * you’ve got any tips of how to pick up leaves faster, let me know! I get ready to try new things.
