Alright, so Tuesday rolled around again, April 16th. Knew it was Spotlight Hour from 6 PM to 7 PM. Had to check quick what was featured this time. Ah, Caterpie. And the bonus was double candy for catching ’em. Can always use more candy, doesn’t matter for what, really.
Getting Started
Didn’t go too crazy preparing for this one. Honestly, just made sure I had enough Poké Balls. Did a quick check, yeah, plenty of red balls, good enough for Caterpie. Didn’t feel like walking around much, decided it’d be a couch session tonight. So, I made sure my phone was charged up a bit.
Just before 6 PM, I booted up the game. Found a comfy spot. Thought about using an incense, figured why not? Might pull in a few extra bugs. Popped one right as the clock hit the hour.
The Hour Itself
And boom, Caterpie everywhere, just like expected. The incense helped too, they were popping up constantly right there in my living room. Spent the next sixty minutes basically just tapping and swiping. Tap the Caterpie, flick the Poké Ball, catch. Pretty simple stuff.
- Focused on quick catches mostly.
- Watched the candy count climb up nicely with that 2x bonus.
- Didn’t bother with fancy throws, just get ’em caught.
It was pretty chill. Had the TV on in the background. Didn’t actively hunt for a shiny one, you know? If one popped up, great, but wasn’t stressing over it. Just enjoyed the easy catches and the extra candy piling up. Probably caught, I don’t know, maybe 70 or 80 of the little guys? No shiny luck this time, but hey, that’s the game.
Wrapping Up
When 7 PM hit, the spawns switched back to normal. The hour goes by fast. Took a look at my Pokémon storage. Lotta Caterpie staring back at me. Went through and transferred most of them right away – needed that space back. Kept maybe one or two with decent stats, just ’cause.
Ended up with a good pile of Caterpie candy. Not sure what I’ll do with it immediately, maybe evolve a few Butterfree down the line if I feel like it. Wasn’t the most exciting Spotlight Hour ever, but it was alright. Did what it said on the tin: caught a bunch of Caterpie, got extra candy. Can’t complain about a relaxed hour doing just that.
