Okay, so today I decided to dive into the world of football stats and, more specifically, take a closer look at Hulk, the Brazilian player from FC Porto. I’ve always been fascinated by his powerful shots and incredible physique, so I wanted to see what I could dig up about his time at Porto.
First, I fired up my trusty old computer. Gotta start somewhere, right?
Gathering the Data
I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through different websites. I wanted to get a good feel for his overall performance – goals, assists, appearances, that sort of thing. It was a bit of a mess, to be honest, with information scattered all over the place. I had to piece things together like a puzzle.
- I started jotting down key stats in a simple text file. Just basic stuff, nothing fancy.
- I found myself getting sidetracked a few times, reading random articles and watching highlight videos. It’s hard to stay focused when you’re dealing with someone as exciting as Hulk!
Putting it All Together
After I felt like I had enough raw data, I started organizing it. I decided to focus on his goals per season, as that seemed like the most interesting metric to me. I mean, who doesn’t love a good goal-scorer?
I basically just eyeballed everything. I’m no data scientist, so I kept it super simple. Man, I was getting info all in.
What I learned
It’s clear that Hulk was a major force for Porto. He scored some amazing goals, and he clearly made a big impact on the team. Seeing all his seasons lined up like that was very rewarding!

This whole process took me a good few hours. It wasn’t the most scientific analysis, but I enjoyed learning more about one of my favorite players. I might even try to do this for other players in the future. It’s a fun way to kill some time and learn something new!
