Okay, here’s my blog post about working on my Husqvarna 350 chainsaw:

So, I finally got around to messing with my Husqvarna 350. It’s been sitting in the shed for, like, a year, maybe more. I knew it needed some love, but, you know, life gets in the way.
Getting Started
First thing I did was just give it a good look over. Checked for any obvious damage, cracked plastic, that kind of thing. Found a bit of gunk built up around the air filter, so I knew that was going to need attention.
Fuel System Fun
Next, I wanted to check out the fuel system. I suspected the old gas had probably gone bad, so that was the first thing to go. I dumped out the old fuel and used a little bit of fresh mix to rinse out the tank.
Then, I checked out the fuel line, It looked a little bit hard, so replace it.

Spark Plug Inspection
Pulled the spark plug next. It was pretty dark and sooty, definitely time for a new one.I put in the new spark plug, making sure it was gapped right.
Air Filter Cleaning
Back to that air filter. I took it off and, yeah, it was nasty. I tried tapping out some of the loose dirt, then I rinsed the main part with gas.
Putting It All Back Together
With the air filter cleaned , and the new fuel line and spark plug installed, I put everything back together. Filled the tank with fresh fuel mix, primed it a few times, and gave the starter cord a pull.
Success (Finally!)
It sputtered a bit at first, coughed, and then… roarrr! It came to life! It idled a little rough for a minute or two, but after it warmed up, it smoothed right out. I revved it up a few times, and it sounded great.
Next Steps
I still need to sharpen the chain, and probably adjust the carburetor a bit, but for now, I’m just happy I got it running again. Feels good to get a little project done, and now I’m ready to tackle some of the fallen branches in my yard.
