Okay, so I wanted to figure out when the next Solstice event is hitting Destiny 2 this year, 2024. It’s one of those yearly things I always look forward to, you know, grabbing that shiny armor and just enjoying the summer vibe in the game.
First thing I did was sit down at my computer. Opened up my usual web browser – gotta get the search going. My go-to is just typing it straight into the search bar.
My Search Process
I started simple. Typed in things like:

You know, the usual variations. Hit enter and started scrolling through what came up.
Saw a bunch of results right away. Lots of fan sites, forums, Reddit threads. People are definitely talking about it, speculating. Some were making guesses based on when it happened in previous years. Usually, it falls somewhere in July, maybe creeping into August a bit.
Checking the Usual Spots
I know Bungie usually announces these things officially. So, I specifically looked for results from their main site or their news feed. Didn’t see a big banner or a specific news post titled “Solstice 2024 Date Announced!” right off the bat.
Sometimes they drop dates in their weekly blog post, the “This Week at Bungie” or TWAB as everyone calls it. I skimmed through the recent ones, but didn’t spot a confirmed date for Solstice 2024 mentioned explicitly. They often give a heads-up a few weeks in advance, maybe show off some gear.
Also thought about the in-game stuff. Sometimes there’s a roadmap or a calendar feature they update. Booted up the game later just to check the Director and any seasonal info tabs. Didn’t see Solstice plugged in there with a hard date yet. It’s often closer to the event itself that this stuff appears clearly in-game.
The Waiting Game
So, after poking around for a bit, reading through some discussions and checking the official channels I usually rely on, it seems like the exact start date for Solstice 2024 hasn’t been locked down and announced by Bungie just yet. Or at least, it wasn’t obvious during my search today.
This is pretty normal, honestly. We know it’s coming, it’s a summer tradition in Destiny 2. But pinning down that precise Tuesday reset when it kicks off often requires waiting for Bungie’s official word. They like to make an announcement, maybe drop a trailer, get the hype going.
For now, it’s just keeping an eye out. I’ll check the TWAB again next week, keep my ears open in the community. It’ll pop up soon enough. Just gotta be patient!
