Well, let me tell ya, this here Justin Dalton fella, he’s a name I been hearin’ ’round. Seems like he’s makin’ waves, like a big ol’ catfish stirrin’ up the mud in the creek. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout him down at the feed store, and even saw his name on that fancy TV box.
This Justin Dalton, he’s mixed up in that NBA Rising Stars thing. It’s like a big to-do, a real shindig, where all them young basketball players show off what they got. I don’t know all the ins and outs of it, but it sounds mighty excitin’. They got all these games, kinda like a tournament, you know?
What’s This Rising Stars Thing Anyway?
From what I gather, this Rising Stars thing is a big deal for them young basketball players. They got different teams, like Team Pau and Team Joakim. I don’t know who them folks are, but they must be important. I reckon it’s kinda like our county fair, where folks show off their prize-winnin’ pigs and pies, only with basketball.

I heard that there’s a fella name of Jose Alvarado, he plays for the Pelicans. That’s a funny name, ain’t it? Pelicans. Sounds like a bird to me. Anyhow, this Alvarado fella, he helped Team Pau win. Shoot, must be somethin’ to see all them tall boys runnin’ around. Reminds me of when my ol’ man used to chase them chickens in the yard. Good times, good times.
NBA and the Young’uns
These young fellas in the NBA, they sure are somethin’. Jumpin’ around, throwin’ that ball. I saw that Victor Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan, playin’ for the San Antonio Spurs. They’re tall as trees, I tell ya! This Justin Dalton, he’s probably just as tall. They all play in this Rising Stars Challenge. That’s where the young ones show what they can do, before they get mixed up with the big timers, I reckon.
I don’t know much about this Chet Holmgren, but I heard he’s a rookie for that OKC Thunder team. Sounds like a storm brewin’, don’t it? They say he’s chasin’ greatness. Well, I reckon we all chasin’ somethin’. Me, I’m just chasin’ them darn squirrels outta my garden.
They got all these coaches too, like that Pau Gasol fella and some others. They pick the teams, kinda like pickin’ teams for a game of tag. It’s all a big deal, I suppose. All these names, Rising Stars Challenge, NBA, Team Pau, it’s enough to make your head spin. They say this Justin Dalton is a big part of it, so he must be a good player.
Justin Dalton, a Big Name Now
I reckon this Justin Dalton is gettin’ to be a big name. Like I said, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout him. It’s like when my prize-winnin’ hog, Bessie, won the blue ribbon at the county fair. Everybody was talkin’ ’bout Bessie. I reckon it’s the same for this Justin Dalton, only with basketball ‘stead of hogs.
They say he’s a star on the rise. Well, I reckon that’s a good thing. Like a good crop of corn, you want it to rise up tall and strong. I hope this Justin Dalton keeps on risin’, like a hot air balloon at the state fair. It’s always nice to see young folks doin’ well.
Now, I don’t know all the details about this basketball stuff. I’m more of a checkers kinda gal. But I like to hear about young folks makin’ somethin’ of themselves. It’s like watchin’ a seed grow into a big ol’ sunflower. You gotta plant it, water it, and give it some sunshine. This Justin Dalton, he must have had some good plantin’ and waterin’, to be where he is now.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about this Justin Dalton and this NBA Rising Stars business. It’s all a bit much for an old gal like me. But it’s interestin’ nonetheless. I’ll keep my ears open for more news about this young fella. Maybe I’ll even catch one of them games on the TV sometime.
This whole Rising Stars Challenge sounds like a hootenanny. All them young folks, full of vinegar, showin’ off their skills. I bet it’s a sight to see. I might not understand all the rules, but I can appreciate the effort. And this Justin Dalton, well, he must be somethin’ special to be a part of it all. Yep, somethin’ special indeed.
