Got some free time today, so I thought I’d finally get around to checking out this Keisei Tominaga guy. Heard some buzz about him, you know, being called the “Japanese Steph Curry” and all that. Figured, why not see what the hype is about?

keisei tominag Tips and Tricks (Everything You Should Know)

First things first, I started digging around for some basic info. Turns out, his full name is Keisei Tominaga, and he’s a Japanese basketball player. Born on February 1, 2001, in Nagoya, so the dude’s still pretty young, just 23. He recently signed with the Indiana Pacers, but was waived and joined their G League team, the Indiana Mad Ants. That’s where he’s at right now.

Next, I wanted to see some of his college stats. I found out he played for Nebraska and even got All-Big Ten honors twice. Not bad, right? Seems like he averaged around 15.1 points per game in his last season. Also, the guy’s a pretty good shooter, making 76 three-pointers at a 38% rate. Apparently, he scored over 1,000 points in his three seasons at Nebraska, which is a big deal.

  • Dug up some basic info on Keisei Tominaga.
  • Checked his current team: Indiana Mad Ants.
  • Looked into his college stats: All-Big Ten honors, 15.1 points per game, good three-point shooter.

After getting a handle on his stats, I decided to watch some game footage. Let me tell you, this Tominaga guy can shoot! He’s got a quick release, and he’s not afraid to pull up from deep. It’s easy to see why people compare him to Steph Curry, at least in terms of shooting style. He’s only 6-foot-2, 179 pounds, but he makes up for it with his shooting ability.

Then I found some interesting tidbits. Did you know he didn’t have a pre-draft workout with the Pacers this year, but he did last year? Seems like it was his first one in the whole pre-draft process. He declared for the draft last year but ended up going back to college. I don’t know what happened. But it did not work well for him.

Observations:

  • Watched some game footage: quick release, deep range, similar shooting style to Steph Curry.
  • Noticed he’s not the biggest guy, but his shooting makes up for it.
  • Learned about his pre-draft workout history with the Pacers.

So, after spending a good chunk of my day looking into Keisei Tominaga, I think the guy’s definitely got potential. His shooting is impressive, and he seems to have a good feel for the game. It’ll be interesting to see how he develops in the G League. Maybe he’ll get another shot at the NBA soon. Who knows? But I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him. That’s it for my little research project today. Just wanted to share my findings with y’all. Hope you found it interesting!
