Alright, so today I wanted to see how Kevin Byard plays in Madden 24. First thing I did was fire up my PlayStation and load the game. Went straight into the Tennessee Titans roster since he plays safety for them.
Scrolled through defense players until I spotted his name. Clicked on his player card and boom – his rating popped up: 92 overall. That’s pretty solid! Digging deeper showed he’s got 92 zone coverage and 89 play recognition. His hit power sat at 86, which felt fair.
Testing Him In Actual Gameplay
- Started a quick match against the CPU using the Titans
- Forced opponent into third-and-long situations
- Put Byard in deep coverage to watch his movement
Honestly? He balled out. Jumped routes like crazy when QB threw deep – snagged two interceptions by reading the quarterback’s eyes. Against crossing routes though? Got burned once when I left him isolated. His acceleration felt a tad slow chasing receivers across midfield.
The Weird Part
Here’s where it gets interesting though. EA gave Byard superstar abilities but didn’t give him any superstar X-Factor traits. Like seriously? Dude’s a two-time All-Pro safety! Why’s he getting disrespected like that?
