Took a deep breath. Maybe entering it too fast? Slowed down like I was dialing an ancient phone. Code ‘011’. Entered each number deliberately… beep… beep… beep… beep. Saw the remote light blink twice! Hope! Pointed the LG remote at the cable box. Held down the POWER button. Click. The cable box shut off. It worked!

So relieved. One remote reigns supreme now. If yours fights you, just keep trying different codes, slow and steady. That blinking light after punching in a number? That’s the key. Means it accepted it. Took me way too many attempts, but finally got my living room sanity back!
