So, I was messing around with some basketball data the other day, and I got really into looking at the 2015 Cleveland Cavaliers. You know, the team with LeBron, Kyrie, and Kevin Love? It was a wild ride, and I wanted to see if I could recreate their season, like, digitally.
Starting From Scratch
First, I gathered all the player stats. I mean everything. Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks… even their shoe size, probably. Okay, maybe not shoe size, but you get the idea. It was a ton of info. I used some websites and it took many time to copy and paste! I put it all into a big, messy spreadsheet. Think of it like a giant digital scrapbook of the team.

Next, I started to organize the data, it was a mess. I used some spreadsheets to sort that chaos. I wanted to see how each player performed game-by-game, who was hot, who was cold, and how they all played together.

- Kevin Love: His role changed a lot, I noticed. Fewer touches, more focus on rebounding and defense.

What I Learned
After all this digging and sorting and charting, what did I learn? Well, a few things:
