Man, I’ve been itching to get my hands on the 2016 Kawasaki 6R for a while now. This thing is a beast, and I finally got the chance to take it for a spin and see what it’s all about.

First off, I picked up the bike from the dealer. It was a real head-turner with its aggressive styling. You can tell right away this thing means business. It’s also surprisingly lightweight, which is a huge plus.
- Started her up, and the engine purred like a kitten. But don’t let that fool you, once you rev it up, it roars like a lion.
- Took it out on some winding roads to see how it handles. Let me tell you, this thing is nimble. It feels like it’s on rails, even on tight corners.
- Tested the brakes, and they’re insane. It’s got these huge 300mm petal discs in the front that can stop you on a dime. Seriously, the stopping power is crazy good. I feel much safer.
I also wanted to see how fast it could go, so I found a nice long straightaway and opened it up. I was really shocked. Acceleration is brutal, in a good way. It gets up to speed in no time, and the high-rpm power is just addictive.
I spent a good few hours riding it around, and I gotta say, I’m impressed. It’s definitely a track-focused machine, but it’s also surprisingly comfortable for street riding. The clutch is smooth, and the shifts are quick and precise. One issue is that I’m not a pro rider, so it’s maybe a little too much bike for me right now. But for experienced riders, it will be fun for them.
From what I heard, the engine on these Kawasakis is pretty much bulletproof. There aren’t any major issues, which is a relief. I checked the price online and found that it is between 5,500 to 7. It is a good deal.
Overall, this bike is a blast to ride.
It’s powerful, agile, and just an all-around great machine. I can see why it’s so popular. If you’re in the market for a 600cc sportbike, you should definitely check out the 2016 Kawasaki 6R. You won’t be disappointed.
