What is ilvl anyway?
Now you gonna to know what is this ilvl, right? This ilvl, it stands for item level. It’s like how good your gear is. Higher number, better gear, you get the picture. Like, if you got a rusty old sword, that’s a low ilvl. But if you got a shiny, sharp sword, that’s a high ilvl. It means you can beat stronger monsters and get stronger stuff.
For these mythic things, you need some good ilvl. I heard some folks saying you need, like, 580 or something. Sounds like a lot to me. Then 385, 398, 400 those number I also heard. But, like I said, higher is better. You don’t wanna go in there with some weak stuff, you’ll just get yourself hurt. My grandson is 376, and he already going to do +7s, that’s what he said. He’s a strong boy, he’s fine. But not everyone like him you know.
Mythic Dungeons, Oh Boy
These mythic dungeons, they’re like the regular dungeons, but way, way harder. Like, imagine trying to herd cats, but the cats are on fire. That’s what I imagine it’s like. They got these things called affixes, too. They change every week. Sounds complicated to me.
- Tyrannical – that makes the bosses all mean and tough, like a bull in a china shop.
- Fortified – that makes the regular monsters all tough, too. Like a whole army of angry ants.
They even have different numbers for these mythic dungeons. You get better stuff from the higher numbers. One boy told me that, if you complete a mythic +7, your ilvl will be 610. And if you complete a mythic +8, you will get 528 ilvl stuff. Those kids, they just talking too fast. I barely understand. But just remember one thing, higher number, better stuff, just like ilvl.
Getting Ready for Mythic
So, if you wanna do these mythic things, you gotta get ready. First thing to know is you need a Mythic+ Keystone. How to get it, I don’t know. Ask those young people, they will tell you.
- Get Good Gear: Like I said, you need high ilvl. Do those regular dungeons, get some good stuff. Maybe 385 or higher, or even 580 if you can.
- Learn the Dungeons: You gotta know what you’re doing. These mythic dungeons, they ain’t no walk in the park. You need to know all those monsters, don’t just go there and get killed.
- Find Some Friends: You can’t do these things alone. You need a whole group of folks, all with good gear. And they gotta know what they’re doing, too.
Just Do Your Best, That’s All
This ilvl requirements for mythic, it is just a number. Don’t let it scare you too much. Just like my old pappy used to say, just try your best. If you are strong, and you know what you doing, you will be fine. But if you go in there with weak stuff and no idea, well, you’re just asking for trouble. So get some good stuff, learn the dungeons, find some strong friends, and you will be good. Just like those young folks do.
You know, these young folks and their games. It’s all so complicated. But I guess, as long as they’re having fun, that’s all that matters. Just remember what this old lady told you, and you’ll be alright. Maybe. I don’t know. Just be careful in those mythic things, okay? They sound scary.
