So I was messing around with this player, Ndembele, and I gotta say, it was quite a ride. I started by checking out some videos, you know, just to get a feel for his style. Lots of quick cuts and fancy footwork, it looked pretty impressive.

Next, I jumped into some practice drills. I wanted to see if I could replicate some of those moves I saw. I set up some cones in my backyard and just started dribbling. First few tries? Total disaster. Tripped over the ball, kicked the cones, you name it.
But I kept at it. I focused on keeping the ball close, you know, like they always say. Short touches, trying to get that quick change of direction. Slowly, very slowly, I started to get the hang of it. It wasn’t pretty, but I could feel some improvement.
Then, I tried to incorporate some of those fancier moves. The step-overs, the little flicks, all that stuff. Let me tell you, it’s way harder than it looks. Most of the time, I just ended up confusing myself.
- Keep ball close
- Fast change
- Short touches
After a few hours of this, my legs were burning. I was sweating like crazy. But you know what? I felt like I had accomplished something. Even though I was nowhere near as good as Ndembele, I could see how those moves could be useful. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the skill these guys have.
My Conclusion for Today
Practice is everything,I am keeping do it!
