Okay, so, I’ve been playing League of Legends for a while now, and I was really curious about when the new season starts. I mean, we’re already in Season 14, and they’ve got these splits now, right? It’s a bit confusing, to be honest. So, I did a little digging around to figure it out.

First, I tried to remember when the last season ended. I knew it was sometime in January, but I couldn’t recall the exact date. So, I started searching online, you know, just typing in stuff like “League of Legends season end date” into the search bar. That’s usually how I get started when I’m trying to find something out.
I found a few different dates. One article mentioned that Season 14 would end on Thursday, January 9, 2024, and another said that this will also be the end of Split 3. That made sense, since they split the season into three parts now. But then, another source said the season ends on January 6th. It was a bit confusing, but not a huge deal, it’s still in early January.
- Looked up the current season: Found out we’re in Season 14.
- Searched for the end date: Got two different dates, January 9th and 6th, 2024.
- Realized it’s split into parts: Season 14 has three splits.
Then I got to thinking about when League of Legends was actually released. I mean, it’s been around for a while, right? Turns out, it came out way back on October 27, 2009. That’s crazy! A company called Riot Games, founded in 2006, made it. I never knew that. I did also find out that the competitive season in 2017 started on January 30 and ended on November 7. They used versions V7.2-V7.21, whatever that means.
So, I guess the new season, Season 15, will probably start sometime in early January 2025. They seem to start new seasons around that time each year. It’s cool to know when it all began and how they’ve been running these seasons.
Anyway, I just wanted to share what I found. It’s always interesting to learn more about the games we play, right? Now I’m all set for the new season. Bring it on!
