Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with the NRG Esports logo. I’ve always thought it looked pretty cool, but I wanted to see if I could make some tweaks to it, maybe personalize it a bit, you know?

First things first, I grabbed the original logo from their website. It’s that sharp, edgy design with the letters “NRG” all stylized and futuristic-looking. I opened up my trusty old image editor – nothing too fancy, just something I’m comfortable with.
I started by playing around with the colors. The original is mainly black and white, which is fine, but I wanted to see what it would look like with some different hues. I tried a bunch of different combinations: some blues, some reds, even a bit of green. It was kinda fun to just experiment and see what popped.
- Changed the primary color to a deep blue.
- Added a gradient effect, going from light blue to dark blue.
- Tried out a red and black version, but it felt a bit too aggressive for my taste.
- Even played with a green and white combo, which surprisingly looked kinda cool.
After messing with the colors, I moved on to the actual shape of the logo. I didn’t want to change it too drastically, but I thought it would be cool to try and smooth out some of the edges, maybe make it a bit less jagged. I spent a good chunk of time just subtly adjusting the curves, trying to find a balance between keeping the original vibe and adding my own twist.
Subtle Changes
It’s not super noticeable, but I rounded off some of the sharp corners of the letters. I also adjusted the spacing between the letters a tiny bit, just to see if it made a difference. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if anyone would even notice these little tweaks, but it was fun for me to just play around and see what worked.
In the end, I ended up with a few different versions of the logo. Some were more drastically different, while others were just slightly modified. I think my favorite is the blue gradient one with the slightly rounded edges. It still feels like the NRG logo, but it also has a little bit of my own personal touch. It was not about improving, it’s just playing around and see what I can do with it.

This whole thing was just a fun little experiment. I wasn’t trying to redesign the logo or anything, just wanted to see what I could do with it. It’s always interesting to take something you’re familiar with and try to put your own spin on it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s always a good time.
