Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into the whole college wrestling scene for a while now, and Penn State seemed like the obvious place to start. They’re like the kings of the sport, always winning and all that. So, I decided to make it my project to dig into the latest news about the Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team.

Penn State Wrestling News: Whats Happening Now with the Nittany Lions?

First, I tried to find out what their current status was. Turns out they’re doing pretty well, with a 6-0 record, not bad at all. But they haven’t started their Big Ten matches yet, which I guess is the big leagues or something. They’re supposed to start those on January 10th, so I made a note to check back then.

Digging into Their Recent Matches

  • I started digging into their recent matches. I found out about this one match against, I think it was the Cowboys, where Penn State just destroyed them, 54-0. Sounds brutal, honestly. There was this freshman, Lilledahl, who apparently scored four takedowns in the first period alone. A freshman! And another guy, Braman, also had a good game.
  • Then there was another match where a sophomore, Tyler Kasak, won against someone from Missouri. The final score for that one was 20-0, another blowout. This Mesenbrink guy seems to be a big deal, too. It’s all a bit overwhelming with these names, but I’m starting to get a feel for who the key players are.

I also came across their official sports website. It has all the schedules, rosters, scores, and probably other useful information, but let’s be real, it’s a bit dry. I did bookmark it, though, just in case I need to check some facts later on.

Then I stumbled upon this thing called “Penn+State+Wrestling+Club” on some abbreviation website. No idea what that’s about, sounds like some kind of fan club or something, but I decided to just leave it for now, maybe I’ll look into it later.

So, that’s where I’m at right now. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface, but it’s a start. I’m planning to follow their matches, especially when the Big Ten season starts, and see how they do. It’s kinda fun getting into a new sport, even if it’s just following the news online. I might even try to watch a match or two if I can figure out how.

Anyway, I’ll keep you guys posted on my Penn State wrestling journey. It’s not exactly rocket science, but hey, it’s something new and interesting to follow. And who knows, maybe I’ll become a die-hard fan by the end of the season. We’ll see!
