Okay, so today I decided to finally check out that Persimmon Hill Golf Course in Saluda, SC. I’d heard some good things about it, and, well, I was itching to get out on the green.

Getting Started

First things first, I grabbed my clubs from the garage. Gave them a quick once-over – they were looking a little dusty, to be honest. I really should clean those more often. Note to self: clean clubs after this round.

Next, I hopped in my car. It’s about, I don’t know, a bit of drive from where I live. But it was a nice day, windows down, music up – not too bad at all.

On the Course

When I got there, I checked in at the pro shop. The staff were friendly and pretty chill. Paid my greens fee, and then I was off to the first tee.

  • Hole 1: Started off okay. The fairway was pretty wide open, which is always a good thing for my, shall we say, unpredictable drives.
  • Hole 4 (I think): This is what I want to share,There was a bit of water. I didn’t hit great and sent one right into it! I will definately practice more to get better.
  • The Rest: The course was in decent shape, a little rough in spots, but nothing major. Greens were rolling pretty true, which I appreciated.

Wrapping Up

All in all, it was a solid day of golf. Nothing spectacular, score-wise, but I had fun. Persimmon Hill is a good, no-frills kind of course. If you’re in the Saluda area and looking for a place to play, I’d say give it a shot. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. I definitely enjoyed it! It’s really a fun course, and you can play it.

After I am done. I put the clubs back in my trunk. And start driving to get back home.
