Okay, so, “via montreal to toronto,” huh? Let me tell you, that was a bit of a trip, and not just geographically.

First off, I decided I was gonna do it. Plain and simple. Had this itch to just… go. Montreal to Toronto seemed like a good starting point. I wasn’t trying to break any records, just needed a change of scenery and a break from staring at the same four walls.
The Prep: So, I started with the basics. Got my car checked out, you know, oil change, tire pressure, the whole nine yards. Made sure my GPS was up to date because getting lost in the middle of nowhere is not my idea of a good time. Packed a bag with some clothes, snacks (essential!), and a decent playlist – gotta have the tunes for a long drive.
On the Road: I hit the road early, like 6 AM early. Wanted to beat the traffic out of Montreal. The first few hours were pretty smooth. Cruising down the highway, windows down, music blasting. Stopped at a Tim Hortons for a coffee and a donut, because, Canada. Seriously, you can’t drive across Canada without a Tim Hortons stop.
The Middle Part: This is where things got a little… boring. Just miles and miles of highway. Fields, trees, more fields. The scenery was nice, but after a while, it all kinda blended together. I started getting a little sleepy, so I pulled over at a rest stop, stretched my legs, and had another coffee. That helped for a while.
Unexpected Detour: Then BAM! Construction. A massive detour. My GPS tried to reroute me, but the roads it was suggesting were… questionable. Let’s just say I ended up on some backroads that probably hadn’t seen pavement in years. It added a good hour to my trip, but hey, at least it was something different to look at.

Almost There: Finally, I started seeing signs for Toronto. The traffic started picking up, which was annoying, but it also meant I was getting close. The skyline in the distance was a welcome sight.
Toronto! Made it to Toronto around 4 PM. Checked into my hotel, grabbed some food, and just chilled for the rest of the evening. All in all, it was a good trip. A bit long, a bit boring at times, but definitely worth it to break up the routine.
What I Learned: Pack more snacks. Seriously. And maybe download some podcasts or audiobooks for the boring stretches. Oh, and always expect the unexpected. You never know when you’re going to end up on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. But hey, that’s part of the adventure, right?
So yeah, that’s my Montreal to Toronto trip in a nutshell. Would I do it again? Probably. Maybe next time I’ll take a different route and see what other adventures I can find.
