Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Prestwick Golf place in Woodbury. It ain’t no fancy-schmancy country club, but it’s a good place to whack some balls, ya know?

What’s the big deal about Prestwick Golf?
First off, they say it’s a “premier daily fee facility.” Don’t know what all that means, but it sounds important. What I do know is they got a real nice golf course, kept all neat and tidy. Folks say it’s one of the best around these parts, maybe even the best on the east side of the cities. I ain’t seen all the golf courses, but this one’s pretty darn good.
They got eighteen holes, which is a lot of walkin’ if ya ask me. But them young fellas, they don’t mind. They got those carts too, if your legs ain’t what they used to be. And the views! Purty as a picture, I tell ya. Trees and green stuff everywhere you look. Makes you feel good just bein’ out there.
What kinda folks go there?
Well, anybody can go, far as I know. You pay your fee and you play. That’s what they call “daily fee players”. But they also got these “members.” Them’s the folks that pay extra and get all the special treatment. More benefits and such, they say. I ain’t no member, just go there once in a while with my grandson. He likes to golf, and I like to watch him swing them clubs.

- Regular folks like me and my grandson
- Fancy members with all the perks
- Young fellas who can walk all day
- Old folks like me who need a cart sometimes
Is it a good place for kids?
I reckon so. I see kids out there sometimes, learnin’ to golf. They got plenty of space to run around, long as they stay off the greens, that’s what my grandson tells me. And I heard tell they got outdoor seating, so you can sit and watch ’em play. I don’t know if the kids think it is fun, but my grandson seems to like it.
Where is this Prestwick Golf place anyway?
It’s in Woodbury, Minnesota. On Wedgewood Drive, if I remember right. Number 9555, I think. You can’t miss it, big ol’ place with lots of grass. Easy to find, even for an old lady like me.
What about the golf course itself?

Like I said, it’s real nice. They call it a “championship course,” whatever that means. Two of ’em, I heard. They keep it mowed real short and the greens are smooth as a baby’s bottom. And them holes, they got all sorts of tricky spots. Water and sand and such, to make it harder, I guess. My grandson, he always gets stuck in the sand. Silly boy.
You can find the scorecard and the hole layout online, if you’re into that kinda thing. I ain’t got no computer, so I just trust my grandson when he tells me about the holes. And them reviews, folks write about the course online too. They say it’s the best, most of ’em. A few complainers, but you always get them.
Is it like them famous golf courses?
Now, I heard tell of them fancy golf courses, like Augusta National in Georgia where they have that Masters thing on TV. And Pebble Beach out in California. Prestwick ain’t quite like them, I reckon. But it’s good enough for us folks around here. We ain’t got no mountains or oceans, but we got trees and lakes, and that’s just fine.
So, is Prestwick Golf worth checkin’ out?

I’d say so. If you like to golf, or if you just wanna get some fresh air and sunshine, it’s a good place to go. Friendly folks work there too, always smilin’ and helpful. Not like some places, where they treat you like dirt. Prestwick, they treat you right. Even an old lady like me. So go on and give it a try. You might just like it.
What else can I say about Prestwick Golf Woodbury? Well, it’s a nice place, clean, friendly, and got a good golf course. What more could you want? Go on now, get out there and swing them clubs. And don’t forget to bring your sunscreen! The sun can be mighty strong, even in Minnesota.
And one more thing, they got good deals sometimes, so keep an eye out for them. Saving a few bucks never hurt nobody. That’s what I always say. Alright, I’m done talkin’ now. Go on, git! And have fun!
