Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this game, Palworld, you know, that “Pals with guns” thing everyone’s talking about. And let me tell you, getting ammo for your handgun, well, it ain’t exactly a walk in the park.

First off, I tried just running around and hoping to find some. I mean, the game does throw some ammo your way sometimes, right? Mostly from those Syndicate baddies, though. But let’s be real, that’s not a very reliable way to stock up, especially when you’re in the heat of it and those bullets are flying.

So, crafting it is. Figured that’s the way to go. You need a Weapon Workbench for this, which I already set up back at my base. It is a level 29 technology, and I spent 1 technology point to unlock it. But here’s the thing, the materials? Not exactly lying around everywhere.

  • Ingots – You’ll need to mine some ore, smelt it down, and then craft them into ingots. It’s a whole process.
  • Gunpowder – Another thing you gotta craft. For this one you need some Charcoal. You make charcoal by burning wood in a furnace.

I spent a good chunk of time just gathering these materials. Mining ore, chopping wood, keeping those furnaces burning. It felt like I was spending more time prepping than actually playing, to be honest. And the game says that if you can acquire enough gold, you can buy it from some merchants. But I haven’t reached that point in the game yet.

Finally, I had enough stuff. Back to the workbench, and boom, handgun ammo. It felt good to finally craft some, but man, it’s resource-intensive. I can see why some folks just try to buy ammo from merchants when they can, but for now, this is what I gotta do. And I learned that the Coarse Ammo is only used for the Musket and Makeshift Handgun.

So yeah, that’s my ammo story for now. It’s a grind, but hey, what’s a good survival game without a little hard work, right? At least, I can keep my handgun loaded. Also, as my level increases, I can unlock more weapon blueprints, like the Shotgun and Rifle!
