Okay, so I’ve been messing around with team colors lately, and today I decided to dig into the San Diego Padres. You know, the baseball team? I wanted to get their exact colors right for a little project I’m doing. It’s kind of a pain to get these things exactly right, so I figured I’d share what I found.
First off, I started searching online for their official colors. I just went to that big search engine and typed in “San Diego Padres colors”. There are a lot of pages popping up, but most of them are just selling stuff. I finally found some pages where the info was just right there.
I found out that the Padres have two main colors: a brown and a gold. But not just any brown and gold. These are specific shades, and apparently, there’s this thing called Pantone color codes that designers and printers use. It’s kind of like an ID number for each specific color, so everyone’s on the same page, I guess.
- For the brown, the Pantone code is PMS 412 C. That means, when I use this code, it should match exactly what the Padres use on their uniforms and logo.
- And for the gold, it’s PMS 7-8 C. I made a note of that too.
Digging Deeper
I also saw some mentions of a “Navy Blue” color somewhere, but it wasn’t clear if that was an old color or still used, so I didn’t look into it any further. I was only interested in the brown and gold for my project anyway.
So, after I got these Pantone codes, I felt pretty good. It’s like having the official recipe for their colors. I went ahead and plugged these codes into my design software to make sure I had the right shades, and voila! It looked perfect. Just like the Padres’ colors. I saved these colors in my project. I can use them whenever I need to.
