Alright, so let me tell you about my little adventure with setting up what I call my “Mets FM radio” system. It’s not some fancy tech, mind you, just a reliable way I figured out to catch the New York Mets games on the radio, like in the good old days. I’m a huge Mets fan, always have been, but actually listening to the games live started becoming a real pain in the neck.

Not exactly the reliable experience I was after.
Next up, I thought, okay, maybe a slightly better radio. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but I figured something with a bit more oomph might do the trick. No apps to launch, no internet connection to worry about, no battery drain on my phone. Just the game, loud and clear (well, clear enough for AM/FM radio!).
It might sound incredibly basic, almost primitive in this day and age. My kids kind of laugh at it. They’re all about streaming everything on their devices. But you know what? It works. Every single time. And there’s a certain charm to it, a simplicity that I really appreciate.
