So, the other day I decided to see what my Triumph Street Triple RS could really do. I’ve had this bike for a while now, and I’ve always been curious about its top speed. I mean, they say it can hit 150.4 mph, but I wanted to find out for myself.

First off, I made sure I was geared up properly. Safety first, right? I put on my helmet, jacket, gloves, the whole nine yards. Then, I found a long, straight stretch of road with hardly any traffic. It was early in the morning, so the conditions were pretty ideal.

I started off slow, just getting a feel for the bike and the road. Then, I gradually started to open up the throttle. This bike, man, it’s got some serious power. It’s not a Speed Triple, but the 765 RS engine really pulls. The acceleration is insane, it hit 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. I could feel it pushing me back in the seat.

As I got faster, the wind started to really hit me. I tucked in as much as I could, trying to reduce the drag. The bike felt incredibly stable, even at high speeds. I just kept pushing it, watching the speedometer climb.

Now, I’m not going to lie, it’s a bit nerve-wracking going that fast. But the Street Triple RS handled it like a champ. The throttle response is sharp, and the clutch is smooth. It felt like it could handle anything I threw at it.

Eventually, I hit my limit. I didn’t quite reach the 150.4 mph mark, I think I backed off around 145 mph. But honestly, that was fast enough for me. It’s way faster than I’d ever need to go in normal riding. I did get to increase the rear ride height by about 20mm, which was a nice touch. And let me tell you, the sound of that engine at full throttle is just music to my ears. Check the video online if you get a chance.

After that, I slowed down and just cruised for a bit, letting the adrenaline wear off. It was an exhilarating experience, to say the least. This bike is a beast. It’s not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The quality components make it worth every penny. Some people ask why there’s a top-speed limit, and I guess it’s just in line with what other manufacturers are doing. But honestly, it’s more than enough for most riders.

So, yeah, that’s my story of testing out the top speed of my Street Triple RS. It’s a powerful, well-built machine that’s a ton of fun to ride. Just remember to be safe out there, folks.
