Man, oh man, let me tell you about this project I’ve been messing with – a 2000 Suzuki GSX 750. You know, the “Grand Sport eXperimental-Racing” bike. Yeah, that one. It’s been a wild ride, to say the least. I’ve always been a fan of these GSX-Rs, these bikes are famous for a reason.

So, I got my hands on this bad boy, a 2000 model. The first thing I did was just give it a good once-over, checking the overall condition. This thing had some miles on it, but the bones seemed pretty solid. You could tell it had been loved, but also ridden hard, you know?
- I started with the basics, you know, checking the oil, looking at the tires, making sure the brakes were responsive.
- Then I moved on to the engine. This thing supposedly puts out around 86 horsepower. Not too shabby for a bike from 2000.
- I fired it up and listened to the engine’s voice. It sounded pretty good, a little rough around the edges, but nothing a little TLC couldn’t fix.
The next step was to take it for a spin around the block. I wanted to feel how it handled, how the power came on. It felt pretty nimble, and the power delivery was smooth. It definitely had that classic GSX-R feel – powerful,
