Okay, here’s my take on the “chiefs 53 man roster 2024” topic, written from the perspective of a blogger documenting their process:

Alright, so I got totally sucked into trying to predict the Chiefs’ 53-man roster for 2024. It’s, like, a total rabbit hole, but a fun one! I started by just grabbing a piece of paper and a pen – super old school, I know.
First Stab: The Obvious Locks
First, I listed all the players who are, like, 99.9% guaranteed to make the team. We’re talking Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones, and those guys. The superstars, the core players who’d have to get injured or do something really dumb to not be on the team. That was the easy part. Filled up maybe half the page. I felt pretty good.
Digging Deeper: The Probables
Then, I moved on to the “probables.” These are the guys who are pretty solid, have played well, or have contracts that make it likely they’ll stick around. This is where I started using my laptop, looking up stats, reading some articles from beat writers – just to get a feel for who’s trending up and who’s on the bubble. This took a while, honestly, I’m so slow. I added names, then crossed some out, then added them back in…it was a mess.
- Started checking out some fan forums – Always good for a laugh, but also some surprisingly good insights.
- Watched some old game highlights. I swear I do this every year and my wife hates it. But I wanna feel that game, man.
The Bubble Guys: Agony!
Then there the bubble. The toughest part. This is where you’re splitting hairs, comparing guys who are all pretty good, but maybe only one or two of them can make the final cut. For example the defensive backs or some of the backup, like, offensive linemen, you know?
I spent hours on this. Seriously. I made little pro/con lists for, like, ten different guys. I even tried to factor in things like special teams contributions – which is a whole other can of worms.

The Final (Maybe?) Product
Finally, I had a list of 53 names. I felt exhausted, but also kinda proud. Like I’d actually accomplished something. Of course, I know it’s probably going to be wrong. There will be injuries, surprise cuts, maybe a trade or two…who knows. That’s part of the fun, I guess. The point of all of this is to predict and the future is unpredictable.
But for now, I’m sticking with my list. I’ll probably tweak it a few more times before the season starts, but at least I have a starting point. It’s all just a guessing game, but it’s a game I love to play!
