Okay, so a few buddies and I decided we wanted to hit the links last weekend. We were looking for somewhere new to try out in the Denton area, and we stumbled upon Timberlinks Golf Club. I’d heard a little bit about it before, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

First thing we did was look up the address. Turns out it’s located at 5201 Par Drive. Pretty easy to remember, right? We piled into my buddy’s SUV and made the drive over. It wasn’t hard to find at all, nestled right there in Denton.
When we pulled up, I was immediately struck by how well-maintained the place looked. We parked the car and grabbed our clubs. Walking towards the clubhouse, we noticed the practice green looked to be in great shape, so we decided to warm up with a few putts.
Getting Started
- Checked in: We went inside, checked in at the counter, and paid our greens fees. The staff was friendly, and the whole process was quick and painless.
- Grabbed a cart: Since it was a pretty warm day, we opted to rent a golf cart. Made getting around the course a lot easier, especially with all our gear.
Now, this place is a 9-hole course, which is perfect for a more casual round. It’s a par 35, and let me tell you, it’s got some interesting terrain. It’s not just flat and boring, there are some hills and dips that make it a bit more challenging. They’ve been around since 2003, so they’ve had some time to get things right.
We teed off on the first hole, and right away, I knew this was going to be a fun round. The fairways were in good shape, and the greens were rolling nicely. My buddy, who’s a bit of a golf fanatic, kept saying how much he appreciated the layout. It was challenging, yeah, but still really enjoyable. It has some nice holes.
We played through the nine holes, taking our time, enjoying the weather and the company. We lost a few balls, had a few laughs, and even managed to make a couple of birdies. Overall, it was a really solid round of golf.

Wrapping Up
After we finished, we headed back to the clubhouse. I got a soda and my friends got some beer. We sat outside for a bit, talking about the game and just relaxing. It was a great way to end the day. I’d definitely recommend Timberlinks Golf Club to anyone looking for a fun, challenging, and well-maintained 9-hole course in Denton. We’ll be back for sure!
