Well, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout them Tri-City Chili Peppers. They done somethin’ real special, somethin’ folks ain’t never seen before. They call it “Cosmic Baseball,” and it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. They played baseball, but it was all glowy and shiny. I heard it was somethin’ to see!
Chili Peppers Glow in the Dark
This whole thing, it ain’t just somethin’ they threw together overnight, no sir. They been workin’ on this for a long time now. I heard more than a year! Can you believe it? And spendin’ a whole heap of money, too. I heard it was over $100,000! They got these light folks, professionals, I reckon, to make it all work. Lots of tryin’ this and tryin’ that, seein’ what works and what don’t. They even had to practice playin’ with them glowin’ balls.
Them Tri-City Chili Peppers, they’re from a place called Colonial Heights, in Virginia. They’re a baseball team, but not just any ol’ team. They play in the summer, and they got some good players, I hear. This whole “Cosmic Baseball” thing was their idea, to make it extra fun for the folks watchin’.
It was a sight, I’m told. They played against another team from Virginia. They had these big ol’ black lights, you know, the kind that make things glow. And their clothes, the balls, even the bats, they all glowed too! Imagine that, a glow in the dark baseball game! Made that tri city chili peppers glow in the dark!
Cosmic Baseball is somethin’ new
Now, playin’ baseball at night ain’t nothin’ new. We always need light to see. But playin’ with everythin’ glowin’ like that, well, that’s somethin’ else. It’s like somethin’ from one of them space movies, I reckon. These Tri-City Chili Peppers, they really outdid themselves this time.
- They got them special black lights.
- The uniforms, they glowed.
- The baseballs, they glowed.
- Even the bats, they glowed, too!
- It was all glow in the dark!
It ain’t easy to make a baseball glow, you know. It takes a lot of work, I bet. And them lights, they gotta be just right. It’s a real production, this whole thing. But them Tri-City Chili Peppers, they figured it out. They made it happen.
They say folks really enjoyed it. It was somethin’ different, somethin’ exciting. Kids probably loved it, seein’ all them glowy things flyin’ around. I bet it was a real hoot! I sure wish I coulda seen it myself. Sounds like fun.
Tri City Chili Peppers are good for the community
These Tri-City Chili Peppers, they’re doin’ good things for the community, I think. They’re bringin’ folks together, givin’ them somethin’ fun to watch. And they’re puttin’ on a show that nobody’s ever seen before. That’s somethin’ to be proud of. I think the tri city chili peppers glow in the dark is a good thing for the city.
I don’t know much about baseball, but I know a good time when I hear one. And this “Cosmic Baseball,” it sounds like a real good time. I hope they keep doin’ it. Maybe one day I’ll get to see it for myself. That would be somethin’, wouldn’t it? Seein’ a baseball game where everythin’s glowin’ in the dark. Yep, that’s somethin’ I’d like to see. They made baseball more fun. People like fun.
Them Tri-City Chili Peppers, they got a good thing goin’. I hope they keep it up. It’s good for them, it’s good for the town, and it’s good for baseball. And it’s just plain fun, I reckon. You can’t beat that. Everyone loves the tri city chili peppers glow in the dark!
