So, I decided to tackle this “Disgruntled Hunter” thing in WoW today. You know, trying to find that Hemet Nesingwary Jr. guy. I read somewhere that he’s the key to unlocking some achievement, and I’m all about that achievement life. I saw some folks online saying it was a reputation achievement, and others mentioning he was all over the Dragon Isles.

First, I had to find out where this Grand Hunt even takes place. I figured Hemet would be near it since that’s what the achievement is about. I hopped on my mount and started flying around. I noticed some people mentioning that you could use WASD to fly, which is pretty standard, but good to know. I also saw something about changing the “pitchlimit” in the console to flip your mount, but I wasn’t about to mess with that.
- Figured out where the Grand Hunt was happening.
- Hopped on my mount and started scouting.
After a bit of searching, I found the Grand Hunt. It was a mess of players and mobs, as usual. I started looking for high spots, cliffs, mountaintops, that sort of thing. I figured a hunter like Hemet would want a good vantage point. I spent a good chunk of time just flying around, scanning the area. This was way harder than I thought it would be.
- Located the Grand Hunt.
- Started searching for high-up places where Hemet might be.
Then I saw him. He was just chilling on a cliff, overlooking the chaos. It was such a “duh” moment. I flew over, landed, and talked to him. There wasn’t much to it, just a quick chat. I guess that was enough to count towards the achievement. Some people online were saying he sometimes gets killed by mobs, so I guess I was lucky.
- Spotted Hemet on a cliffside.
- Had a quick chat with him.
Honestly, the whole thing felt a bit anticlimactic. I was expecting some epic quest or something, but it was just a matter of finding the guy. Still, I got the achievement, so that’s a win. I saw a few posts about people having trouble finding him in specific zones, like Thaldraszus. Apparently, he doesn’t always spawn there. There were even some bug reports about it. I guess I got lucky finding him when I did.
I guess that’s how you get the “Disgruntled Hunter” achievement. Just gotta find Hemet near the Grand Hunt locations. He is not that hard to find if you know what you are looking for. I did notice some tips about using “Disarm” on hunters because it messes with their abilities, but that wasn’t really relevant to this. It’s more of a PvP thing, I think. Anyway, that’s my story of becoming a “Disgruntled Hunter” expert. Not as exciting as I thought it would be, but hey, another achievement in the bag.

Realized it was more about just finding him than doing anything epic.
Mission accomplished, I guess. On to the next one!
