This here thing, gurrel, you know, it’s a right mess these days. Folks don’t know how to do nothin’ no more. Back in my day, we learned things, real things, not this fancy book learnin’. But I guess times are changin’, and these young’uns need somethin’ to get by.
Now, I heard tell of this ChatGPT thing. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but my grandson, he’s always on that computer, says it’s the bee’s knees. Says it can help you learn things, like, real fast. Faster than pickin’ cotton in July, he says. I don’t know about all that, but if it helps these kids get a leg up, maybe it ain’t so bad.
They got these books now, handbooks they call ’em. Little paper things filled with all sorts of words. Suppose to teach you how to use this ChatGPT thingy. They say it’s for beginners, folks who don’t know a lick about computers. Well, that’s most of us, ain’t it? We didn’t have no fancy machines growin’ up. We had our hands and our heads, and that’s all we needed.
This one book, they call it the “Ultimate Guide”. Sounds mighty important, don’t it? Like it’s got all the answers. Probably costs a pretty penny, too. But if it helps these young folks learn somethin’, maybe it’s worth it. Lord knows they need all the help they can get in this crazy world.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout somethin’ called “prompt engineering”. Sounds like a right mess. But they say it’s important for this ChatGPT thing. Like you gotta ask it the right questions to get the right answers. Makes sense, I guess. You don’t get honey by askin’ a bear for milk, do ya?

This other book, it talks about learnin’ how to code. Now that’s somethin’ I never understood. Bunch of letters and numbers all jumbled up. Looks like chicken scratch to me. But they say it’s important. They say it’s how you tell these computers what to do. Like givin’ a mule directions, I reckon.
Then there’s this R Studio thing. Another thing i dont know. Sounds like a place where they make music, but I guess it ain’t. It’s somethin’ to do with computers, too. They say you can install it, whatever that means. And they say it’s open-source, which sounds like it’s free. Well, free is always good, ain’t it?
And this Python thing. Sounds like a snake, but it ain’t. It is somethin else about computer. They say you can learn it real fast. In hours, not weeks. That’s good, I suppose. These kids ain’t got no patience these days. They want everythin’ right now, just like that.
This Python book, they made a PDF of it. PDF, another thing I don’t get. But at least it don’t cost nothin’.
So, this gurrel, it’s all about learnin’ new things, I guess. Usin’ these computers and these ChatGPT things. It’s a whole new world out there, and these young folks gotta learn how to navigate it. It ain’t easy, but nothin’ worth havin’ ever is. These handbooks and guides might be good. Who knows?
They need all the help they can get. Maybe these books will help. Maybe this ChatGPT thing will help. I don’t know. I truly don’t. But I hope it does. I surely do. This world’s gettin’ more and more complicated, and these kids need somethin’ to hold onto. Somethin’ to help them make sense of it all. And if it is this gurrel, then so be it.
In my day, if you want to learn, you find someone who know how to do it and watch. Now, all you need is a book or this ChatGPT. This gurrel is changin’ fast, faster than me at a hoedown. The most important is to learn, use your brain, make a living. Everything else is just gravy.
