Sure enough, inside this PDF was the full list, players ranked by finish with the prize money next to their names. Felt like a victory! Until I tried to actually use the info. The formatting was rough. Names weren’t always consistently listed (Nicknames? First and last only? Initials sometimes?). The payout figures were just lumped together with other stats sometimes. Not exactly copy-paste friendly or easy to read.
Building My Own List
Sighed, grabbed a coffee, and settled in. Decided the only way was manual. Opened my trusty spreadsheet software. Started building my own clear list.

- Went down the PDF line by line, typing each player’s full name as best I could, then their payout figure. Had to double-check a few spellings. Some guys I barely knew!
- Sorted it properly by finishing position after pasting.
- Added headings: Position, Player Name, Prize Money (USD).
- Double-checked the totals against snippets of news info about the purse size to make sure I hadn’t missed anyone or messed up a figure. Looked good.
Finally Got It Done
Took way longer than the 10 minutes I’d planned – more like pushing an hour by the time I formatted the table nicely for the post. But hey, I finally had it: the full 2024 US Senior Open prize list, clear, easy to read, and verified. Shared the table directly in my post with a quick note about it being pulled from the official USGA PDF summary.
Lesson learned? Golf’s major bodies like the USGA sometimes make tracking down simple payout details harder than the course itself! Still feels good to have put the work in and got a solid, reliable list together for folks.
