Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience messing around with Honda Accord generations:

So, I’ve been diving deep into the world of Honda Accords lately. It’s kinda random, I know, but I got hooked! It all started when I saw a pristine 5th gen Accord coupe the other day. Thing looked brand new! It got me thinking about all the different Accord generations and how much they’ve changed over the years.

First thing I did was hit up the internet, obviously. I spent hours just browsing forums, looking at pictures, and reading old reviews. It’s crazy how many different opinions there are out there about which generation is the “best.”

My Deep Dive Begins

I started getting organized. I made a list – a very messy, handwritten list – of all the generations, starting with the very first one from the 70s. It looked like a tiny little hatchback compared to what we have now!

  • 1st Gen (1976-1981): Super compact, kinda boxy, but charming in its own way.
  • 2nd Gen (1982-1985): Still boxy, but a little bigger, starting to look more like a “real” car.
  • 3rd Gen (1986-1989): Pop-up headlights! This one is an 80s icon, for sure. I love the Aerodeck.
  • 4th Gen (1990-1993): This is where things started to get more modern. Sleeker design, more refined.
  • 5th Gen (1994-1997): This is the one that sparked my interest! The coupe is just beautiful.
  • 6th Gen (1998-2002): Bigger, more rounded. I had driven this model and I felt great.
  • 7th Gen (2003-2007): More angular, more aggressive styling.
  • 8th Gen (2008-2012): Bigger.
  • 9th Gen (2013-2017): It is more fuel-efficient.
  • 10th Gen (2018-2022): I really love the style of this generation.
  • 11th Gen (2023-): Sleek and stylish.

Then, I began digging into the specs. Engine sizes, horsepower, fuel economy – all that stuff. I even tried to find old brochures and sales materials. I felt like a detective, piecing together the history of this car.

I spent a whole afternoon just watching YouTube videos. Old commercials, reviews, drag races, you name it. I even found some videos of people restoring old Accords, which was super satisfying to watch.

The Result?

My brain is now full of random Accord facts. And now,I have a new level of appreciation for the Honda * is really classic.

It’s been a fun little project, and it’s definitely given me a new appreciation for this iconic car. It also made me wish I had a bigger garage so I could start collecting them!
