Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get back in shape, and I figured a punching bag would be a great way to do it. I didn’t want to hang it from the ceiling, so I needed a stand. I found this used one online, and it seemed like a good deal. It was a bit of a gamble, but hey, I’m all about saving a few bucks.

Used Punching Bag Stand: Best Deals & Where to Find Them

Getting Started

First thing, I picked up the stand from the seller. It was disassembled, which was good for getting it into my car. It was pretty heavy, though! I made sure all the parts were there – the base, the upright poles, the top part where the bag hangs, and a bunch of bolts and nuts.

Putting it Together

  • I started with the base. This thing was solid, made of heavy-duty steel. I filled sandbags that came with into base to gave extra weight.
  • Next, I attached the upright poles to the base. This was a bit tricky, making sure everything was lined up right. I used a wrench to tighten the bolts as much as I could.
  • Then, I connected the top piece, the one with the hook for the bag, to the upright poles. Again, more bolts and more tightening.

Testing it Out

Once it was all assembled, I hung my punching bag on the hook. It felt pretty sturdy! I gave it a few test punches, and it held up well. I did notice a little bit of wobble, but nothing too concerning.

I have to use extra sandbags to make base more sturdy,I spent sometime on adjust the position for it.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m pretty happy with this used punching bag stand. It wasn’t perfect – a few scratches here and there, and the assembly took some effort. But it does the job, and it was definitely cheaper than buying a new one. Plus, I got a good workout just putting the thing together! Now I can start really working out.
