Okay, so, let’s talk about this trip to Virginia Beach National. I’d been itching for a beach getaway, and this place had been on my radar for a while. Finally, I just said “screw it” and booked the trip. I was aiming for a chill, relaxing vacation, you know? Sun, sand, the whole nine yards.

First things first, I had to figure out when to go. After some quick research, it seemed like late May to early September was the sweet spot. I decided to head there in August since this time’s weather is nice. Good weather is really important for me! I booked my flight and started looking for a place to stay. I found a cute little hotel right by the beach that got decent reviews, so I booked a room for a whole week. Seven days of beach bliss, here I come!
Packing
Packing was next on the list. I’m not gonna lie; I’m a bit of an over-packer. But for a beach trip, I knew the essentials: swimsuits, a couple of pairs, just in case. Sunscreen, obviously—didn’t want to end up looking like a lobster. And a big ol’ beach towel, sunglasses, and a hat. Threw in some casual clothes for walking around and a couple of nicer outfits for dinner. And don’t forget a good book! Beach reading is a must.
My Trip
The trip itself? It was awesome. Seriously, I spent most of my days just lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun, and taking dips in the ocean. The water was perfect, not too cold, not too warm. I even tried a bit of surfing. Spoiler alert: I’m not very good at it, but hey, I had fun.
Nights were pretty chill too. I’d stroll along the boardwalk, grab some food, and just enjoy the vibe. There were some cool bars and live music, which was a nice touch. Nothing too crazy, just a good time.
My thoughts
- Weather: Like I said, the weather’s perfect in August! I love it!
- The Beach: So beautiful. Soft sand and clean water.
- My Hotel: It’s very nice. It’s very close to the beach and I can hear the waves.
- Nightlife: Pretty good. A lot of bars you can choose from.
- Food: Pretty good. I had a lot of seafood. It’s fresh.
All in all, it was just what I needed. A week of pure relaxation and good vibes. If you’re looking for a chill beach vacation, I’d definitely recommend checking out Virginia Beach National. Just don’t forget the sunscreen!
