Alright, so I wanted to keep up with the Little League scores today. You know, just casually see what’s happening with the kids.

Checking the Schedule
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. I typed in something like “Little League World Series games today.” I just wanted a general overview of who was playing.
Finding Live Scores
The search results showed a bunch of options, but I spotted something about “live scoring.” That sounded like what I was looking for. There was mention of an app, too, the “LLWS App” I think it was called. But I decided to stick with the browser for now.
Digging Deeper
I scrolled through the results and found some details about the 2023 Little League World Series. It looked like it took place from August 16th to 27th. That was presented by T-Mobile. I’m not sure about the 2024 schedule, but I guess it’s somewhere online.
Teams and Structure
There was something about “squads, scores, teams for all regions.” Sounds pretty comprehensive! I also read that there are 10 teams on each side, playing in a double-elimination format. And then the winners of the U.S. and International sides face off in the final. Intense!
Game Details
I also learned that a regulation game is six innings long. But if it gets cut short, it’s still official if they’ve completed four innings, or three and a half if the home team is winning. There is also mention of how to mark balls and strikes, usually in five little squares or circles.

Getting the App (Maybe)
I saw a mention of the “GameChanger” app for following live scores. I might download that later if I get really into it. I saw that there is a final game result that Florida team rallied past Taipei to win LLWS title.
So yeah, that’s how I spent a bit of my time today, just checking out the Little League scores. It’s pretty cool to see how these young players are doing.
