Moved over to Twitter searching hashtags. Found some accounts promising links in bios. Followed two sketchy profiles that immediately DMed me:
- First one demanded I retweet 15 posts to “unlock” the link
- Second sent a shady shortened URL that made my antivirus freak out
Meanwhile kept refreshing sports forums where people were supposedly sharing streams. Each time I clicked a claimed working link:
- Stream died within 30 seconds
- Quality looked like pixelated Minecraft footage
- Kept buffering during main event walkouts
The Final Straw
Around main card time, found a Discord server promising “HD stable streams”. Went through their verification maze:
- Solved like five CAPTCHAS
- Downloaded some “required plugin” (big mistake)
- Adware started popping up every minute
Finally got the stream working only to see UFC highlights from five years ago. Checked the server’s rules – they’d banned anyone mentioning actual live event. Wasted three hours, my CPU overheating, and missed the actual fights.
Conclusion? Spent more time fighting viruses than watching fights. Not worth the malware risk or constant stream-hopping frustration. Next time I’ll just pay the $80 or watch at a sports bar.
