Alright, so the other day I found myself kinda fascinated by Conor McGregor, not just his fighting, but all that ink he’s got. I thought, let me dig into this a bit and see what all those tattoos are about. It’s quite a collection, and I figured I’d share what I found out, or at least what I managed to piece together.

My First Look – The Big Stuff
So, I started by just looking up pictures, you know, the usual image search. The first things that really jumped out at me were the massive pieces on his torso. You can’t miss them.
- The Gorilla: On his chest, there’s this huge gorilla wearing a crown and it looks like it’s eating a heart. That’s a statement, right? Pretty intense. I spent a good few minutes just looking at the details of that one.
- The Tiger: Then, right on his stomach, there’s this massive tiger head. It’s super prominent and really stares out at you.
Those two alone are a lot of ink. I was already thinking, wow, this guy is serious about his tattoos.
Zooming In – The Details
After the big pieces caught my eye, I started trying to see what else was going on. He’s got stuff pretty much everywhere.
His Name and Nickname: I noticed he’s got “McGregor” tattooed across his lower abdomen, right under the tiger. And then “Notorious,” his nickname, is inked right above that, just below the gorilla. Can’t get more personal than your own name and moniker, I guess.
The Left Forearm: His left forearm is pretty much a sleeve of its own. I saw a bunch of stuff there:

- Roses, quite a few of them.
- A clock, seems to be showing a specific time. I read somewhere it might be 3:35 PM, but who knows the real story.
- A dagger going through one of the roses. Classic imagery.
- There’s also some script there. I managed to make out “slow is smooth, smooth is fast.” That’s a cool little motto.
The Back Piece: Then I hunted down some pictures of his back. He’s got this long design going all the way up his spine. It looks like a helix of thorns, or maybe some kind of abstract spiral. It’s quite intricate and covers a good length of his back. From a distance, it gives a kind of winged or crucifix vibe, but up close, it’s more like barbed wire or thorns twisting upwards.
Other Bits and Pieces
Honestly, there are smaller tattoos scattered around too. I saw some stuff on his neck, but it’s hard to get a clear view of every single little thing. Plus, these guys often add more ink over time, so keeping track is a whole mission.
For example, I’m pretty sure I saw some Arabic script on the back of his left heel, but getting a good look at that was tricky. And there’s a winged crucifix on his neck, quite prominent too, that I spotted after looking a bit more closely.
My Takeaway
So, after spending a bit of time just looking through photos and trying to identify what’s what, it’s clear McGregor’s tattoos are a big part of his image. Each one probably has some personal meaning or story for him, even if we don’t know all of them. It was pretty interesting to just sit down and really look at the artwork he carries around with him. It’s a lot to take in, but definitely makes him stand out.
