Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Home Depot tool race thing. Sounds like a whole lot of hoopla to me. August 11, that the day they gonna have it. I reckon folks’ll be runnin’ around like chickens with their heads cut off, tryin’ to find them tools.

Home Depot, that big ol’ store. They got all kinds of tools in there. Hammers, saws, screwdrivers, you name it. If you need a tool, they probably got it. I heard they even got them fancy power tools. My grandson, he loves them power tools. Says they make work go faster. Me? I’m used to the old-fashioned way. A good hammer and some elbow grease, that’s all I need.
They say these Husky tools are only at Home Depot. Nowhere else. So if you want ’em, you gotta go there. Husky, that’s a funny name for tools. Makes me think of them fluffy dogs. These tools are probably strong like a dog. They gotta be, right? Or else they wouldn’t be sellin’ them.

Can’t smoke in the store.

They got these things called “tool guides”. I guess they tell you how to use the tools. Step-by-step, they say. Probably good for them young folks who don’t know a hammer from a screwdriver. Back in my day, we learned by doin’. You just picked up a tool and figured it out. But I suppose these guides are helpful. Especially for them fancy new tools.

They say you can buy these Husky tools at the Home Depot store or on that internet thing. My grandson, he buys everythin’ on the internet. Says it’s easier. Me, I like to see what I’m buyin’ before I buy it. I like to hold it in my hand, feel the weight of it. But that’s just me. Young folks these days, they like that internet.
If you’re gonna get yourself some new tools and are in the Home Depot tool race, might as well go on down to Home Depot. They got everythin’ you could ever need. Just remember what I said about them Husky tools. And that race, it’s gonna be a sight to see. I might just go down there myself and watch all the commotion. It’ll be more excitin’ than watchin’ the corn grow, that’s for sure!
This race, it got me thinking. Maybe I should get some new tools. My old hammer is getting a little rusty. And a new saw would be nice. I could use it to fix up that old fence in the backyard. Yes, maybe I will go to Home Depot. I need to buy new tools.
