So, I decided to check out the US Orléans vs PSG match the other day. It was a French Cup game. You know how these cup ties go, sometimes you get a giant-killing, sometimes it’s just… well, predictable.
I settled in to watch it. Didn’t have huge expectations for Orléans, let’s be real. It’s PSG we’re talking about. But still, part of you hopes for a bit of magic, right?
Turned on the stream. PSG looked pretty much in control from the get-go. That guy Mbappé, he was everywhere. Saw him score one, wasn’t really a shocker. Then he popped up again. The speed is just crazy to watch.
Honestly, it felt like watching a training session sometimes. PSG just moved the ball around, Orléans were chasing shadows a lot of the time. They did put up a fight, you have to give them credit for that. They even managed to score a goal, which was nice to see for them. Got the crowd going a bit, I imagine.
But PSG just kept coming. It wasn’t just Mbappé scoring either, I saw he set up a couple of goals too. They just have too many good players. The final score ended up being 4-1. Pretty much what you’d expect.
It got me thinking though. These cup games against the giants… it’s a big day out for the smaller club, but man, the gulf in class is just massive. It sort of takes the fun out of it when it’s so one-sided.
My Thoughts After Watching
- PSG are just relentless, even in these types of games.
- Mbappé is on another level, clearly.
- You feel for the smaller teams, huge effort but often little reward.
- It wasn’t the most exciting match I’ve ever seen, felt a bit routine.
So yeah, that was my experience watching Orléans vs PSG. Spent the evening watching football, saw some goals. Just another cup tie, really. PSG marches on, no big surprises there.
