Alright, so, I’m on my second run of this game, you know? And I’m really trying to get everything done right. In my first playthrough, I totally missed a lot of stuff. So this time, I’m determined to find everything, including this guy Barcus’s pack. I already saved him twice, once from the windmill and then later from the forge. But man, I got sidetracked again! Classic me, right?
So, first thing’s first, you gotta find Barcus. In act one, you can find this guy, Barcus Wroot, in the Blighted Village. It’s a messed-up place west of the Emerald Grove. I remember there’s a waypoint there, somewhere around X: 33 Y:393. I just teleported there, and boom, right in the middle of the village.
Now, Barcus, he’s a bit of a clumsy dude. He told me that he got caught because of his heavy backpack. Honestly, I can relate. Who hasn’t been slowed down by a heavy bag, am I right? Anyway, he said he left it behind, and I was like, “Free loot? Sign me up!”
He said it’s behind the windmill. So, I went back there, and let me tell you, it wasn’t that hard to find. There’s this wooden hatch, just to the left of a collapsed wall. I just clicked on it, and bam, I’m inside. And guess what? Barcus’s heavy backpack was just sitting there, along with a heavy chest. Score!
- Find Barcus: Blighted Village, west of Emerald Grove. Waypoint around X: 33 Y:393.
- Go to the Windmill: Where you probably saved Barcus the first time.
- Look for a Wooden Hatch: Left of the collapsed wall behind the windmill.
- Loot!: Find Barcus’s backpack and a heavy chest inside.
One thing to watch out for though, if you leave the Wilderness area before dealing with the windmill situation, Barcus might end up dead in the Blighted Village. It’s like you pulled the ‘Release’ lever or something. So, make sure you deal with the windmill first!
It’s not a huge deal if you’re not into getting every single item, but hey, free stuff is free stuff. Plus, it’s kinda fun to play detective and find these hidden goodies. Anyway, that’s how I found Barcus’s pack. Hope this helps someone out there!
