Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole jockey thing at Finger Lakes, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. I wanted to see who the top riders were, the guys really killing it on the track.

First, I started digging around for any info I could find. I found some stuff about recent races and who won, and it seemed like this Keiber Coa guy was on fire, he just won three races in one day! Also, this other guy, Emanuel De Diego, they were both tied with like 65 wins before, that’s crazy, right?
So I found out that Coa actually snagged his first Finger Lakes title. Good for him! I figured these two were probably the ones to watch. I also came across some older info about a trainer, Chris Englehart, and a jockey, John Davila Jr., who apparently used to dominate Finger Lakes. They were the big shots a while back, but I was more interested in what’s happening now.
Then there’s this other jockey, Velazquez. I stumbled upon his name while going through some records. This dude was apparently a big deal in the late 90s, and even set a record at Saratoga with 65 wins in 2004. That’s pretty wild. I guess he was part of the upper tier of riders in New York.
Anyway, back to Finger Lakes, I decided to focus on Coa and De Diego, since they seemed to be the current top dogs. I tried to find some more details about their recent performances, like, who they were riding for, what kind of races they were winning, that sort of thing. It was a bit tricky, to be honest, but it was cool to try to piece together their strategies. I’m no expert, but I really enjoyed seeing all the data.
My goal was pretty simple: get a better feel for the racing scene at Finger Lakes and see who the main players are. And you know what? I think I did just that. It was a fun little project, and now I’ve got a much better idea of who to look out for next time I’m checking out the races. I just wanna say that this is pretty fun. Hope you guys find this useful too!
