Okay, so today I decided to look into this Damar Johnson thing. I’d heard the name, obviously, with all the news around his collapse on the field. But I realized I didn’t really know the whole story. So, I started digging.
First, I just Googled his name. You know, the basic stuff. Wanted to get the timeline straight in my head.
- Saw a bunch of news articles about the cardiac arrest during that Bills-Bengals game. Man, that was scary just reading about it.
- Found his Wikipedia page – always a good starting point for basic info. Got his birthdate, college, draft position, all that.
- Watched a few YouTube videos of the incident and some of the interviews afterward. Really puts it in perspective seeing it.
Digging Deeper
After I had the basic facts, I wanted to understand more about the aftermath. Like, what happened after he was rushed to the hospital?
I searched specifically for “Damar Johnson recovery” and found a lot of articles about his rehabilitation. Seems like he’s making an incredible comeback, which is amazing.
I also went down a bit of a rabbit hole reading about Commotio Cordis, since it looked like that’s what lots of people suggested caused the cardiac arrest. I’m no doctor.
I ended up checking out his social media too. Wanted to see what he was saying himself. Seemed pretty positive and grateful, which, you know, makes sense given what he went through.
Overall, it was a pretty intense couple of hours reading and watching all this. But I feel like I have a much better understanding of the whole situation now. It’s definitely one of those stories that sticks with you.
