Well, let me tell you, that Daytona 500 race, it was somethin’ else this year. I seen it on the TV, and my oh my, cars was just a-zoomin’ around that track! All them folks hollerin’ and screamin’, it was a sight to behold, I tell ya what.
Who Won Daytona 2023, You Ask?
That Ricky Stenhouse Jr., he’s the one who won it. He was drivin’ like a bat outta, well, you know where. He sure did make it excitin’, that’s for sure. I was sittin’ on the edge of my seat the whole dang time, chewin’ my nails down to the quick. Lord knows I done it.
I heard someone say it was the 65th time they done had that race. 65th! Can you believe it? That’s a whole lotta racin’, ain’t it? It was a big deal, this Daytona 2023, and lots of cars, crashin’ and bangin’ into each other. And that Stenhouse, he just kept on goin’, like he had a fire lit under him.
They kept sayin’ somethin’ about “overtime.” I reckon that means they had to go longer than they planned. Probably ’cause of all them crashes. Sounded like a whole bunch of metal gettin’ crunched up out there. It was longer than a Sunday sermon, that’s for darn sure. That Daytona 500, it ain’t for the faint of heart, I can tell ya that much.

It was like watchin’ a bunch of angry bees all swarmin’ around. One minute they’re all lined up pretty, the next, bam! They’re all over the place. I seen a few of ’em go flyin’ up in the air, landin’ with a thud. Hope them drivers was alright. That’s a dangerous business, that racin’. But who won Daytona 2023, that’s what matters, and it was that Stenhouse boy.
My neighbor, she come over, and we watched it together. She kept sayin’, “Oh, I can’t look!” But she kept on peekin’ through her fingers. We was both jumpin’ up and down, hollerin’ at the TV. It was more excitin’ than a hog killin’ on a Saturday. That Daytona 2023 race was somethin’ to see.

That Ricky Stenhouse Jr., he must have a guardian angel lookin’ out for him. Or maybe he’s just got a heavy foot. Either way, he sure can drive that car. He weaved in and out of them other cars like a hot knife through butter. He was leadin’, then he wasn’t, then he was again. It was a real nail-biter, I tell ya. The question of the day, “Who won Daytona 2023?” was makin’ everyone crazy!
I heard them announcers sayin’ he hadn’t won a big race in a while. Well, he sure picked a good one to win, didn’t he? The Daytona 500, that’s the biggest one there is, I reckon. He’ll be famous now. They’ll be talkin’ about him for years to come, mark my words, specially after this Daytona 2023 win.
I bet his mama’s proud of him. I know I would be. To go out there and drive that fast, with all them other cars tryin’ to do the same thing, it takes guts. And that boy’s got ’em. He earned that win, fair and square.
That Daytona 500, It’s a Big Deal
They say folks come from all over to watch that race. They fill up them stands, and they make a whole week of it. Parties and cookouts, and all sorts of carryin’ on. They all wanted to know who won Daytona 2023. It’s like a big ol’ festival, but with race cars. I’d like to go see it in person one day. Maybe next year, if my arthritis ain’t actin’ up too bad. It’s always a big race, but this year, that Daytona 2023 race was crazy.
Well, I reckon that’s about all I got to say about that race. It sure was somethin’ to watch. And that Ricky Stenhouse Jr., he’s a true champion. He showed ’em all how it’s done. He’s the answer to the big question: who won Daytona 2023? And I won’t be forgettin’ his name anytime soon. That was some of the best racin’ I ever did see. Made me tired just watchin’ it!
