Okay, so, I got my hands on a Yamaha Bolt recently, and man, I was curious about how fast this thing could actually go. You know, just for kicks. So I decided to take it out for a spin and really push it to its limits.

Yamaha Bolt Top Speed: Find Out How Fast This Bike Can Really Go!

First off, I found a nice, long stretch of open road. It’s important to make sure there’s no traffic or obstacles around, safety first and all that. I geared up, hopped on the Bolt, and started her up. The engine’s got this nice rumble, a real torquey V-twin.

I started off slow, getting a feel for the bike. It’s a pretty compact layout, and the seat height is just about 27 inches, which is comfy for me. As I picked up speed, I noticed the throttle response is pretty good. There was plenty of power on tap.

Pushing the Limits

Once I hit the highway, I really opened her up. The Bolt only has a five-speed transmission, but I was cruising at around 3,500-4,000 rpm, and I still had more than half the throttle left. I pushed it further, and further, just to see what she could do.

Now, I’m not one to usually go crazy fast, but I wanted to see what the Bolt R-Spec was capable of. I managed to get it up to around 106 mph, maybe a tad more. Honestly, that’s way faster than I’d normally go. But it felt pretty stable, even at that speed, I had the impression that it could go even faster but I didn’t want to push it that far.

The Aftermath

After that little experiment, I slowed down and just enjoyed the ride. The Bolt’s got a natural riding position, and it’s just a fun bike to cruise around on. It’s kind of like what they call an “urban performance bobber,” with that 942cc air-cooled engine, and I think that’s a fair way to describe it. It definitely gave me a fun riding experience, and I felt great satisfaction having tested it.

All in all, it was a good day. I satisfied my curiosity about the Bolt’s top speed, and I got to enjoy a nice ride on a cool bike. But like I said, I wouldn’t recommend going that fast on the regular. It’s always better to play it safe and enjoy the ride responsibly, right? I made many photos and videos and got a bunch of data that I will analyze later on.

  • Engine: 942cc, air-cooled, V-twin
  • Transmission: Five-speed
  • Seat height: 27.2 inches
  • Top speed achieved: Around 106 mph

And there you have it. That’s my experience pushing the Yamaha Bolt to its top speed. Hope you found it interesting!
