So, I’ve been on this mission to figure out how many Apex Packs I’ve ripped open in Apex Legends. You know, gotta keep tabs on that stuff, especially when you’re hunting for those shiny Heirloom Shards. I heard somewhere that those shards are guaranteed after opening 500 packs, well, unless you’re a lucky duck and already got all the Heirloom sets. Anyways, Apex doesn’t exactly have a built-in counter for this, which is kinda a bummer.

I started by looking around online, you know, checking out what other players were doing. I found out that a lot of folks were saying the best way is to use some sort of calculator. I think the one I found was called “Apex Legends Status Apex Packs Calculator” or something like that. Sounded official enough, so I gave it a shot.
How did I start?
First, I had to remember roughly how many packs I’d opened since I started playing. That was a bit of a headache, to be honest. I tried to think back to how many seasons I’d played, how many levels I’d gained, and all that jazz. I even tried to dig up old screenshots and stuff to jog my memory.
Then, I started recording my progress.
- Every time I leveled up, I noted it down.
- When I bought packs, I made sure to write down how many.
- Special events that gave out packs? You bet I marked those down too.
I kept this up for a few weeks. It was a bit tedious, but I wanted to get a good sense of my progress. Also, I heard that these Heirloom Shards only have a 0.045% drop rate. It is really low. And this is what some official post said, and you can imagine how motivated that makes a guy.
After I got a decent amount of data, I went back to that calculator.
I carefully input all the information I had gathered. This includes my estimated number of packs from before, plus all the packs I’d opened during my tracking period. The calculator did its magic, and boom! It spat out an estimated number of packs I’d opened in total.
It wasn’t perfect, obviously, since I was relying on some guesswork at the beginning. But, it gave me a ballpark figure, which was way better than nothing. Now I have a rough idea of how close I am to that 500-pack mark. It’s not an exact science, but hey, it’s something! And it’s pretty cool to have a better handle on my Apex Packs journey.

I am keeping track of my progress using this system, and I will update you guys about what I got in the next post! Stay tuned!
