Alright, so, I’ve been digging into the 2018 NBA playoffs lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride going through all the games and stats. I started by just wanting to see how the bracket turned out that year, you know, who played who and how the whole thing went down.

First, I grabbed a list of all the teams that made it to the playoffs. Then I started filling in the bracket, game by game. I went series by series, east coast, west coast – the whole deal. It was pretty intense, seeing how some of these games played out. Like, seriously, the Cavs and the Celtics went head-to-head in the Eastern Conference finals. That was a nail-biter, seven games, and LeBron just dominated with 35 points in the last game! They played in Boston Garden, crazy stuff.
Then, I checked out how the games were broadcast. ABC, ESPN, TNT, and even NBA TV were all over it. My cable package had most of these, so I was pretty much set for watching live games, if I was doing it back then.
After that, I dove into the finals. Golden State Warriors against the Cavs, again! The Warriors ended up winning their third title in four years. Remember that game where George Hill missed that free throw with the game tied at 107 and only 4.7 seconds left? That was brutal.
I also found out that this was the first time LeBron had to play a Game 7 in the first round. Man, the pressure! Then there was this Game 4 against the Cavaliers, and the Pelicans scored 131 points, wild!
I spent a good chunk of time just looking at the results, stats, and who was leading in what. Points per game, rebounds, assists – you name it, I was checking it out. I even archived the whole 2018 NBA playoff bracket for myself. It’s pretty cool to look back on, especially since I’m really getting into the history of the game.

- Started by outlining the teams and the matchups.
- Filled in the bracket game by game, series by series.
- Checked broadcasting details – ABC, ESPN, TNT, NBA TV.
- Recapped the intense Eastern Conference finals and the NBA Finals.
- Noted key moments, like Hill’s missed free throw and LeBron’s Game 7.
- Looked up individual game results and player stats.
- Archived the complete bracket for future reference.
It’s been a blast going through all this. I definitely have a deeper appreciation for what happened in the 2018 playoffs now. I finished by making a neat little document with all the info, and honestly, I’m pretty proud of it. I might do this for other playoff years too!
Thanks for reading, see ya next time!
