Okay, so, lemme tell you somethin’ about this whole “sweet chin music” thing and why I ain’t passin’ no aux cord to nobody. It’s a whole mess, I tell ya, a whole mess.

Digging Sweet Chin Music? Sorry, I Wont Pass the Aux: Here Is the Full Story

This “sweet chin music”, they say it’s some kinda wrestling move. Like, you kick someone in the chin? Sounds painful, if you ask me. Why would anyone wanna do that? Back in my day, we settled things with a good ol’ fashioned stare-down. Or maybe a pie-baking contest. No need for all this kickin’ and punchin’. This world’s gettin’ too rough, I tell ya. People is fighting over everythin’ this days. When I was young, people was kind and they don’t hurt no one!

And this “aux cord” business? What’s that all about? We used to have record players, and you just put the needle on the record, and that was that. Music, simple as pie. No cord needed, thank you very much. It’s important for me and I used to use it every day! Now it’s all these fancy gadgets and wires and buttons. It was simple but good! Too much for my old brain to handle.

And why would I be passin’ this “aux cord” around anyway? So someone else can play their noisy music? No sir. My ears ain’t what they used to be. I like my peace and quiet. And a little bit of that old-timey music, you know, the kind they used to play on the radio. Not this boom-boom-boom stuff they got now. It’s make you hard to breath and you just want to yell “shut up”! Gives me a headache just thinkin’ about it.

Now, I hear these young folks talkin’ ’bout “Kendrick Lamar” and somethin’ called “Ticketmaster”. Sounds like a whole lotta drama to me. Back in my day, if you wanted to see a show, you just went down to the town square and watched whatever was playin’. No tickets, no fuss, no bother. It’s just simple and everyone is happy about it. I don’t know why it became so hard!

  • This Kendrick fella, he must be some kinda big shot.
  • Everyone’s always talkin’ ’bout him.
  • Must be important, I reckon.
  • But I ain’t never heard his music.
  • Probably too loud for my taste.

And this “Ticketmaster”, sounds like trouble. Somethin’ about sellin’ tickets? I don’t know nothin’ about that. We used to just trade things back in my day. You need somethin’, you trade for it. Simple as that. No need for all this money changin’ hands. It’s just made people unhappy. I don’t like it.

I heard some young’uns sayin’ “Fuck Ticketmaster”. Now, I don’t approve of that kinda language, but I reckon they must be pretty upset about somethin’. Maybe these tickets are too expensive. Or maybe they’re hard to get. I don’t know. It’s all too complicated these days. Why is that? Money is just paper but why they are so hard to get and make everyone hate each other?

And they say this all started back in the “late 1800s”. With “baseball”. Now, baseball, that’s a sport I understand. We used to play it in the field behind the schoolhouse. Just a bat and a ball and a few friends. Good, clean fun. No need for fancy stadiums or expensive tickets. It is a good game and everyone can join. You don’t need to pay or anything to watch the game.

But I guess things change. The world keeps spinnin’, and everything gets more complicated. More noisy. More…violent. Like this “sweet chin music”. It’s all just too much for me. This is a bad change. People are getting more and more aggressive. I don’t like it and I don’t understand it.

So, no, I won’t be passin’ the aux cord. I’ll just sit here on my porch, thank you very much, and listen to the birds sing. That’s my kind of music. Peaceful. Simple. No kickin’ involved. And no tickets, neither. And it will always be good for me and that’s enough.

These young folks today, they don’t know what they’re missin’. All these new things, these new music, all these new games. They’re not always better. Sometimes the old ways are best. I just hope they figure that out before it’s too late. I hope they can get the peace back just like when I was young.

This world’s changed a lot, I tell ya. Too much noise, too much fuss. And too many folks gettin’ kicked in the chin, seems like. I don’t know what is wrong with this world. I just hope things will get better.

Sweet chin music and aux cords. It’s all a mystery to me. And I am glad I don’t need to know anything about it. I have my peace and that is all I need.
