So, I’ve been messing around with Akshan in League, right? And I had this burning question about his W, you know, the Going Rogue thing where he can bring back allies. The thing is, I wasn’t sure if it worked even when Akshan himself was dead.

I went to check out some forum and there is one guy said “It persists through Akshan’s death”, so I decided to test it out myself.
First, I hopped into a custom game to get a feel for how it all worked. Basically, when an enemy champ kills one of your teammates, they get marked as a Scoundrel. If Akshan takes down that Scoundrel, boom, your teammate pops back up at the fountain. Sounds simple enough, yeah?
But here’s where it got tricky. I needed to see if this worked even when Akshan was chilling in the gray screen, you know? So, I set up a few scenarios. I let myself get killed, then watched to see if my allies would still revive when the Scoundrel bit the dust.
- Experiment 1: I got myself ganked, then had my friend (playing another champ on my team) get killed by the same enemy. Then, another teammate took down the Scoundrel. I was dead the whole time. Guess what? My friend respawned!
- Experiment 2: Tried it again, but this time with two teammates getting killed by different enemies. I stayed dead. When the Scoundrels were taken out, both of my teammates came back.
- Experiment 3: Got myself killed by Baron Nashor. Then, I got a teammate killed by an enemy champion. After that, my team killed the enemy champion. Result? It did nothing.
Conclusion
So, yeah, after messing around in a bunch of games, I can confirm: Akshan’s Going Rogue passive totally works even when he’s dead, it only works on enemy champions. Pretty cool, huh? It means you can still make a big impact even when you’re not alive. Just gotta hope your team can clean up those Scoundrels!
This was a super interesting experiment. I love figuring out these little details in the game. It really makes you think differently about how you play a champ.
