Wade, being the hero he is, sank the winning shot, and then jumped onto the scorer’s table, yelling those famous words. I watched the clip a hundred times, trying to get a feel for the energy, the emotion, the sheer awesomeness of it all.
Then, I started thinking about how I could capture that in my own little project. I’m no sculptor, that’s for sure, so a statue was out of the question. But I do dabble in photography. I grabbed my camera and started experimenting. I took shots of myself in a similar pose, mimicking Wade’s stance, his expression. It was tougher than I thought! Capturing that raw intensity is no easy feat.

After countless shots and a whole lot of trial and error, I finally got a few that I was happy with. They weren’t perfect replicas, but they captured a bit of that Wade magic, that feeling of triumph and ownership.
