Well, let me tell you about this young fella, Trevor Lawrence. This week, folks keep askin’, will Trevor Lawrence play this week? That boy, he’s the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, you know. He’s a good player, that one. But he got himself hurt. Oh, it was a sight, I hear. Right on the field. Shoulder’s all messed up, that poor boy.

Now, they put him on somethin’ called “injured reserve.” I don’t know all the fancy words, but it means he’s gotta sit out. Not just one game, but four! That’s what they said. Four whole games! They say he won’t be back until the very last game of the season. But then, that coach, what’s his name… Doug Pederson, yeah, that’s him. He says Trevor’s gonna need surgery. On his left shoulder, no less. So, no playin’ for the rest of the season. Gotta get that shoulder fixed up.
They’re sayin’ it’s for his “long-term health.” Big words, huh? Just means they want him to be able to play again next year, I reckon. He needs to rest up. This happened back in December, I think they said. He’s a tough cookie, though. They say he’s home now, feelin’ better. After that scary hit in that Texans game. Poor boy, I hope his mama’s takin’ good care of him. He got a head injury, too, you know.
- Trevor Lawrence got hurt.
- His shoulder is messed up.
- He’s gonna have surgery on his shoulder.
- He’s gonna miss a bunch of games.
- They say it’s for his own good, so he can play again later.
Now, some folks are sayin’ maybe, just maybe, he might come back after the Jaguars’ Week 12 bye. But it’s too soon to tell, they say. It’s like waitin’ for the taters to boil, you just gotta be patient. One report said he won’t play on Sunday against the Vikings. That’s for sure. He’s on the injury report, listed as “questionable” with that left shoulder.
He’s thrown for a lot of yards, that boy. Over 2,000, they say! And he’s got 11 touchdowns. But he also got seven of them, whatchamacallits… interceptions. Yeah, that’s it. I don’t know much about football, but I know you don’t want those.
Last year, in 2023, he missed one game. Sprained his AC joint, whatever that is. Sounds painful. He finished his fourth season, and he did pretty good, I guess. But this year, he couldn’t practice for two whole weeks ’cause of his shoulder. Then they said he was gonna start, but now with this surgery, it won’t be so.

Will Trevor Lawrence play this week? Seems like the answer is a big, fat no. Not this week, not for a while. They gotta fix that shoulder first. That’s the important thing. He’s a good boy, that Trevor. He’ll be back, stronger than ever. You just wait and see.
They say he won’t play again in the league until the start of the 2025 season. That’s a long time from now, you know. It’s a shame, he’s a good player. But health comes first, always. Just like my old bones, gotta take care of yourself. Especially when you’re young and playin’ that rough game.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about Trevor Lawrence and his hurt shoulder. Will he play this week? Nope. But he’ll be back. Just gotta be patient, like waitin’ for the crops to grow. He’ll be back on that field, throwin’ that ball again. You just wait and see. He’s a strong boy, he’ll be alright.
It’s a tough game, that football. Lots of bumps and bruises. But that’s the way it is. Gotta be tough to play that game. He’s a good boy though, Trevor. I hope he gets better soon. We’ll be waitin’ for him to come back.
These young folks, they heal fast. He’ll be back before you know it. Just gotta rest up and let that shoulder heal. Then he’ll be right as rain. You mark my words.
